Project Description

At UTC Aerospace Systems, I took on the role of SharePoint Developer and Architect. My primary focus was the development and deployment of an intricate SharePoint 'Administration Portal.' The goal was to simplify the administrative process and streamline SharePoint environments across the organization. This involved conducting exhaustive health checks on SharePoint farm environments, working in collaboration with internal IT departments to enhance security protocols, and driving the development of automated reporting and analytics using BI tools such as PerformancePoint Designer and SSRS Report Builder.

Task/Challenge

The key challenge was the absence of centralized administration across disparate SharePoint environments within the organization. This exposed the company to potential security risks and operational inefficiencies. The situation demanded a robust portal for seamless administration and management of all SharePoint farms.

Solution

To tackle this challenge, I orchestrated the development of an advanced SharePoint 'Administration Portal' by leveraging .NET, PowerShell, and various web technologies. I created comprehensive documentation focusing on stringent security protocols.
